In 1999, an “Outreach Ministry” was formed with the acronym G.R.O.W. This stood for God Rewards Our Work. This ministry is divided into four teams that all serve a common purpose to the lord. Some do various outreach events in the church, while others do work out in the city. Angel tree, million egg hunt helpers, street clean-up, winter giveaways and friends day are a few of the many events that we host.
Meet the President(s): Monica Clark and James Folden
Monica Clark
Sister Monica has been a member of Greater Second Baptist Church since the age of nine years old. She has grown under the leadership of the late Pastor Dr. J.D Williams, and the late Pastor Robert H. Jones. In 2004, Monica became the facilitator of the Outreach Ministry after working as a team leader.
James Folden
James. L Folden was born and raised here in Marion, Indiana. He graduated from Marion High School. He is married to Dee Folden. Folden serves on the Finance Committee. Being a prominent figure in the church, Deacon Folden is apart of many ministries and serves faithfully for the lord. They include, Vice President of the Outreach Ministry; Leader on the Beautification Ministry; Leader on the Men’s Ministry; Hospitality Ministry and Benevolent Ministry.
