Koinonia means Fellowship, to reach out to others through the love instilled, to us, by Christ’s love for us. For others in need of prayer, stronger faith, or just needing a friend. We want to be able to touch someone, no matter if young or old or their status in life in any small way we can. Primarily, we want to simply be there for one another in Christian Love, no matter the circumstance. The first fellowship was a picnic for the “Seniors” on July 21,1984. From this gathering we found the seniors interest was on organized fellowships such as picnics, dinners and perhaps a musical skit or play. Our seniors usually range from 55+ years. The continuing years have been nothing but beautiful, dedicated, and well-organized.

Meet the President: Daphne Royal (Middle)
Daphne Royal, born to Joseph and Cleo Mansfield, accepted Jesus Christ in her life at the age of 4. Under her mother, she always was at church every Sunday in the lords grace. Daphne went to Evans Country School from 1-10 grade; Marion High School for 11th grade; and Crispus Attucks High School where she then graduated. She followed her passion for nursing at the Fort Wayne Community Schools of Nursing where she completed her program. Mrs. Royal reinstated with GSBC in 1980 making Marion her home. In April of 1995, leadership was passed on to Mrs. Daphne Royal by Pastor J.D. Williams to become new Koinonia president.
