The Greeters of GSBC share the same space and duties as the Ushers. Although they are both alike, you are more likely to come into contact with a greeter before you meet the usher at the door. We like to focus on being the windows of our souls. Meaning that when people see us, we want to be seen with a smile and joy. We make guests feel welcome by helping them in any way possible, even if it means leaving post for a few minutes. Friendliness is a key aspect of being a greeter. We figure we may help someone within the Gospel by being a conscientious greeter. Giving brief conversations to new visitors, or showing them the way to the restroom or sanctuary are some of the ways we exemplify our work for Christ. Most people decide to return to your church as a visitor based on what happens in the first ten minutes of their first visit. Whether you are an usher or greeter, do it for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ!
